With the announcement of the 2019 finalists of the Cartier Women's Initiative, Cartier is reiterating its commitment to women entrepreneurs, therefore hoping to showcase their key role in society and their contribution to the economy.
In East Asia, the three finalists have been shortlisted:
Yeon Jeong Cho, SAY Global Inc: An online language service that trains retired seniors in Korea and connects them to Korean language learners worldwide.
Saaya Nakayama, SHE Inc: Onsite subscription-based school offering digital and creative skills-training, co-working, mentoring and job placement services for a new generation of Japanese women.
Claire Yan, Cobbler’s Suggest: Online leather goods repair service that reduces environmental waste and boosts income for artisanal cobblers.
The announcements of the laureates takes place during the Awards ceremony in San Francisco on 2nd May 2019. Each regional winner will be awarded $100,000 in prize money, personalised coaching for one year, networking and visibility opportunities.
