Nigeria's Nneka Mobisson, Ghana's Salma Abdulai and Uganda's Kathy Ku have been shortlisted for the 2017 international Cartier Women's Initiative Awards that take place in Singapore on April 12th, 2017.
Designed to support women entrepreneurs, the Cartier Women's Initiative awards were established in 2006 by Cartier, the INSEAD business school and McKinsey & Company. With 18 finalists across the following regions: Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, and Asia-Pacific, the awards promote female-led and socially responsible startup companies.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, three finalists have been shortlisted:
Nneka Mobisson, Mdoc Healthcare: Nigeria-based entrepreneur Nneka launched mDoc Healthcare, an integrated healthcare management platform providing 24/7 access to virtual, credentialed doctors, nurses and allied healthcare providershttps://www.cartierwomensinitiative.com/candidate/nneka-mobisson
Salma Abdulai, Unique Quality Product: Salma, from the drought-prone north of Ghana, launched a company which processes Fonio, a sustainable indigenous crop with extraordinary health benefits

The announcement of the Laureates takes place during the Awards ceremony in Singapore on April 12th, 2017. Each regional winner will be awarded $100,000 in funding, personalised coaching for one year, networking and visibility opportunities.
