Asia-Pacific entrepreneurs announced as finalists for the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards

India's Trupti Jain, Hong Kong's Xania Wong and South Korea's Yunye Shin have been shortlisted for the 2017 international Cartier Women's Initiative Awards that take place in Singapore on April 12th, 2017.

India's Trupti Jain, Hong Kong's Xania Wong and South Korea's Yunye Shin have been shortlisted for the 2017 international Cartier Women's Initiative Awards that take place in Singapore on April 12th, 2017.

Designed to support women entrepreneurs, the Cartier Women's Initiative awards were established in 2006 by Cartier, the INSEAD business school and McKinsey & Company. With 18 finalists across the following regions: Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, and Asia-Pacific, the awards promote female-led and socially responsible startup companies.

In the Asia-Pacific, three finalists have been shortlisted:

Trupti Jain, Naireeta Services: India-based entrepreneur providing an innovative water management system, freeing smallholders from the challenges of seasonal water logging and water scarcity

Xania Wong, JOBDOH: Providing a smart-hiring platform that instantly connects employers with temporary workers in Hong Kong

Yunye Shin, Zero Space Inc.: Reducing waste in the production process of clothing by manufacturing zero waste design products with regional artisans in South Korea

The announcement of the Laureates takes place during the Awards ceremony in Singapore on April 12th, 2017. Each regional winner will be awarded $100,000 in funding, personalised coaching for one year, networking and visibility opportunities.
