Erin Keaney, Yiding Yu and Diana Yousef have been announced as Finalists representing North America for the 2018 Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards.
Designed to support women entrepreneurs, the Cartier Women's Initiative awards were established in 2006 by Cartier, the INSEAD business school and McKinsey & Company. With 18 finalists across the following regions: Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, and Asia-Pacific, the awards promote female-led and socially responsible startup companies.
In North America, three finalists have been shortlisted:
YiDing Yu - Twiage: Based in Boston, YiDing launched Twiage, digital platform that enables the transmission of real-time data from ambulance to hospital to accelerate lifesaving care on arrivalErin Keaney - Nonspec: Inspired by the Boston Marathon Bombings, Erin Keaney develops affordable and adjustable prosthetic-limb kits for amputees
Diana Yousef – change:WATER Labs: Entrepreneur Diana Yousef has developed a portable evaporative toilet, requiring no electricity and plumbing, for use in developing countries
The announcement of the Laureates takes place during the Awards ceremony in Singapore on April 26th, 2018. Each regional winner will be awarded $100,000 USD in funding, personalised coaching for one year, networking and visibility opportunities.
