Entrepreneurs in Latin America announced as finalists for the 2019 Cartier Women's Initiative

Liza Velarde, Marcela Torres and Tatiana Pimenta have been announced as Finalists representing Latin America for the 2019 Cartier Women’s Initiative.

With the announcement of the 2019 finalists of the Cartier Women's Initiative, Cartier is reiterating its commitment to women entrepreneurs, therefore hoping to showcase their key role in society and their contribution to the economy.


In Latin America, the three finalists have been shortlisted:


Liza Velarde, Delee: A blood test that detects the presence of circulating tumour cells (CTCs) in cancer patients, enabling physicians to better monitor progress of the disease.


Marcela Torres, Holacode: Integration for displaced migrants in Mexico through software engineering training, financial inclusion and job opportunities in tech.


Tatiana Pimenta, Vittude: An online mental health platform connecting psychologists with patients seeking therapy for stress, anxiety or depression.


The announcements of the laureates takes place during the Awards ceremony in San Francisco on 2nd May 2019. Each regional winner will be awarded $100,000 in prize money, personalised coaching for one year, networking and visibility opportunities.
